Ustad Nizami is a 17th generation musician from Pakistan with over 30 years of teaching experience.

Understanding that instruction is the key to protect an ancient musical tradition that is being lost, Ustad Nizami founded the Nizami School of Music in Austin, Texas in 2009. The school offers private and group lessons in Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium, and Voice, both in Austin and over Skype for student anywhere in the world. The curriculum includes Classical Indian, Pakistani folk, Ghazal, Bhajan, Qawwali, and Sufi music.
